Zapier Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: October 15, 2025
We modified the Zapier Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) to incorporate acceptable use policies of our subprocessors, including AI LLM subprocessors. If you don’t agree with these modifications, your sole remedy is to cease using the Service immediately. Your continued use of the Service automatically constitutes your acceptance of this updated AUP.
You may review the prior version of the Zapier AUP here.
Zapier provides our customers with the most connected AI orchestration platform. Our customers and partners rely on the Service to automate critical parts of their business. To ensure continued reliability, everyone must access and use Zapier Service in ways that don’t abuse our Service. This AUP serves as a guide for what we consider abuse of our Service.
Security Violations or Network Abuse
Don’t access or use the Service directly or indirectly to, or in ways that create any of the following:
- Disrupt uptime: adversely impact the availability of our Service, or those offered by a Third Party.
- Denial of Service: create or pose a risk that can result in a denial of service attack on our Service or services of a Third Party.
- Bypass security, safety, or billing systems: bypass or attempt to circumvent use limitations, billing triggers, security mechanisms, or safety filters established by Zapier or a Third Party. This includes testing or reverse-engineering to find limitations, vulnerabilities, competitive research, evading filtering capabilities, jailbreak models, or otherwise evading moderation safeguards.
- Security risk: create a security or service risk to Zapier, our Service, or a Third Party.
- Malicious attacks: send or facilitate cyber attacks of any kind.
- Spyware and unauthorized monitoring: create, facilitate, or distribute spyware or any capability for covert surveillance, persistent tracking, or monitoring of a person or device without their valid consent or other legal right.
- Model guardrail circumvention: create or participate in “jailbreak” or prompt‑injection campaigns or other activities intended to evade model safeguards.
Wrongful Use
Don’t access or use the Service directly or indirectly to, or in ways that:
- Fake engagement, misinformation, or disinformation: create, promote, or publish artificial, fake or inauthentic engagement, reviews, or other knowingly false or misleading content with the intent to harm.

- Spamming: generate or send unsolicited messages that you do not have permission to send to recipients or which are otherwise prohibited under applicable law.
- Intellectual property infringement: violate Zapier’s or a Third Party’s intellectual property rights.
- Misrepresentation: impersonate other people or businesses, misrepresent being human or human-generated when AI or machine-generated, engage in phishing, spoofing, or otherwise misrepresent yourself or misrepresent the origin of any content. Accounts on the Service may not be created with throwaway email addresses.
- Compromise privacy or identity rights: violate privacy rights under applicable laws; misuse, collect, solicit, generate, or gain access to personal data or biometric identifiers or inferences (e.g., facial recognition, voiceprint identification, or emotion recognition) without complying with applicable legal requirements; or synthesize or mimic a person’s voice or likeness without their explicit consent or other legal right, and never doing so for public officials or to deceive.
- Use exploitive, manipulative, or deceptive techniques: use of any subliminal, manipulative, or deceptive method that distorts a person’s behavior so they cannot make informed decisions; target or exploit vulnerabilities related to age, disability, or socioeconomic circumstances; or conduct social scoring or predictive profiling leading to detrimental or unfavorable treatment.
- Undermine democratic processes: suppress voter participation, mislead about electoral processes, or otherwise generate or disseminate false information in any political and electoral context.
- High-risk automated decisions: make high-stakes automated decisions without appropriate human-in-the-loop in domains that affect an individual’s safety, rights or well-being (e.g., law enforcement, migration, management of critical infrastructure, safety components of products, essential services, credit, employment, housing, education, social scoring, or insurance).
- Develop or design weapons: produce, modify, design, develop, or illegally acquire weapons, explosives, dangerous materials, or other systems designed to cause harm.
- Circumvent or violate terms: use the Service with the primary purpose of violating or circumventing the terms or restrictions of a Third Party, or in a manner that violates any Service technical documentation, usage guidelines, or parameters.

- Explicit content: Generate sexually explicit content, including deepfakes.
- Hateful content: harass, intimidate, abuse, or discriminate against others based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, disease, or immigration status.
